EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

See How StrydAR Glasses Are Helping
People with Parkinson’s Regain Their Mobility

🎥Interview with NoSilverBullet4PD

In this interview with PDBuddy for the NoSilverBullet4PD community and Parkinson's UK, StrydAR Founder Scott explains how our Parkinson’s Walking Glasses use visual cueing to reduce freezing, improve posture, and give people more confidence and independence when they walk.

Try StrydAR Glasses

Choose the next step that feels right for you

Everyone’s Parkinson’s journey is different.
Once you’ve watched the video, you can move forward in the way that suits you best.

Option 1

I’m ready to try the glasses

If the interview resonated with you and you’d like to experience the glasses yourself, you can start a rental from home. We’ll send your glasses, help with set-up, and support you as you try them in everyday life.

Option 2

I’d like to speak to someone first

Not sure if StrydAR is right for you or your loved one? Book a free, no-pressure call. We’ll listen to your walking challenges, answer questions, and be honest if we don’t think the glasses are a good fit.

Option 3

I'd rather send a message

If you prefer to write things down, you can send us a quick message. Tell us a little about your walking, and we’ll reply by email.

A world-first in visual cueing for Parkinson's

StrydAR Parkinson’s Walking Glasses use a discreet visual cue, based on the same technology used in fighter pilot helmets, to help your brain start and maintain movement. Many people notice a change within minutes of putting them on.

Reduce freezing and shuffling

The visual cue bypasses the part of your brain affected by Parkinson's and stimulates the motor cortex, so you can get started and keep going with fewer freezing episodes and less shuffling.

Improve posture and balance

The cueing in your upper peripheral vision encourages a more upright, stable posture, helping you feel more balanced and secure on your feet.

Build confidence when you walk

When walking feels more predictable and controlled, many people find their confidence returns – whether that’s around the house, in shops, or out with family.

Discreet and non-invasive

They look like a normal pair of sunglasses. No extra wires or complicated apps – just put them on, switch them on, and walk.

What happens when you decide to try StrydAR

We’ve designed the process to be simple, supportive, and flexible – whether you rent the glasses or talk to us first.

1

Tell us about your walking

When you start a rental or book a call, we’ll ask a few quick questions so we can understand your walking, freezing, and balance.

2

We make sure it’s a good fit

If we don’t think the glasses are likely to help, we’ll say so. If they are, we’ll confirm your order and organise your next steps.

3

Delivery and set-up support

Your glasses are shipped to your door. We provide clear instructions, and we can arrange a short video or phone call to help you get started.

4

Try them in daily life

Use the glasses when you usually struggle – getting up, going through doorways, turning, or walking outside. We’re here if you need support.

**With our rental option, you can test the glasses over time and cancel if they’re not right for you.

Real people, real experiences

You’ll hear stories like these in the video at the top of this page. Here are a few examples of what people and families tell us.

“I went from shuffling and freezing at doorways to walking through them much more easily. My husband says he could see the difference straight away.”

Jane,(UK)

“These glasses have given me the confidence to walk round the shops on my own again. I still have Parkinson’s, but I feel more like myself.”

Richard, (UK)

“I was on holiday in Italy and struggled with my walking. I wore the glasses and did over 16k steps one day, and didn't have any aches or stiffness after”

Diane, (UK)

Questions we’re often asked

Here are some of the most common questions people have after watching the video and before trying the glasses.

Will these glasses definitely work for me?

No device can help everyone. Parkinson’s affects people differently. Some people see a dramatic change; others see a smaller improvement; and for some there may be little or no effect. That’s why we recommend a call if you’re unsure, and offer rental so you can test them in real life.

Do I need prescription lenses?

If you normally wear prescription glasses for walking, let us know. Many people wear their prescription glasses and then wear StrydAR over the top, or we can discuss other options with you.

Are the glasses safe to use?

The glasses provide visual cues only – there is no electrical stimulation or medication involved. We always suggest you speak to your Parkinson’s nurse, neurologist or GP if you have any concerns.

What if they don’t help me?

If you’re on the rental plan and feel the glasses aren’t helping, you can cancel and return them. We don’t want you to feel “stuck” with something that isn’t right for you.

Can I cancel my rental?

Yes. Our rental is flexible. You’re not tied into a long contract, and we’ll explain exactly how it works before you start.

Can I buy the glasses outright?

Yes. If you prefer to own your glasses, you can choose to buy them instead of renting. We can talk you through the options on a call, or you can select purchase at checkout where available.

Are they available outside the UK?

Yes, we have options for people living outside the UK. Just select the 'overseas' option when you place your order, or mention it when you book your call and we’ll explain what’s possible.

Can I share this video with someone?

Absolutely. If you know someone who might benefit – or a clinician who’d like to understand more – feel free to share this page with them.

Ready when you are

You don’t have to decide today. But if the interview at the top of this page felt familiar – if you recognise your own freezing, shuffling or fear of walking – the next step is simple.

You can start a rental, book a free call, or send us a message. We’ll listen, support you, and be honest if we don’t think the glasses are likely to help.
